| Norton Error 8504,104 |
Norton error “8504,104” can be produced by another sanctuary product or a hazard that stops the Norton provision from starting. It can also be produced by a failed install when the product is being advanced to a fresher type.
Step 1 Download and run Norton Power Eraser
2. Save Downloaded Norton Power Eraser file on your computer’s desktop.
3. On the computer’s desktop, double-click on the Norton Power Eraser icon. Click Yes or Continue If the User Account Control window seems
4. Read the instruction carefully and click on Accept.
5. Click on the Scan for Risks icon in the Norton Power Eraser window.
6. Norton Power Eraser does a Rootkit scan and needs a system reboot. When you get a prompt to reboot the computer, click on Reboot. If you do not need to contain the Rootkit scan, go to Settings, and uncheck the selection Include Rootkit scan (needs a system reboot).
7. After the computer is rebooted, the scan starts spontaneously. Keep an eye on guidelines. Do not shutdown system until scan complete.
8. Keep an eye on guidelines to run the scan.
If the problem continues, repeat this process again.
STEP 2
Step 2 Uninstall any non-Symantec security product
1. Open the Run dialog box.
2. Type appwiz.cpl text, and then press Enter.
3. Select the non-Symantec security product from the presently installed programs and then click Uninstall or Remove.
4. Keep an eye on guidelines.
5. Reboot the System when the uninstall process Finishes.
If the problem continues, repeat this process again
STEP 3
Step 3 Download and run the Norton Removal Tool
1. Download the Norton Removal Tool
2. Save Downloaded Norton Removal Tool file on your computer’s desktop.
3. Double-click the Norton Removal Tool icon on the computer desktop.
4. Keep an eye on guidelines.
5. Reboot your system. After the system reboots, Keep an eye on guidelines to reinstall your Norton product.
